From open country to foothills Western Panama has an interesting habitat ensemble for the Birdwatcher.Cloud Forest, Tropical Dry Forest and Wetlands make this adventure an ideal way to discover the heart of the Isthmus
This Private Journey will take us to Campana, the first national park established in the nation, to look
for middle elevation species then We´ll spent a couple of nights at El Valle, a small town located inside the crater of a dormant volcano. Its forest harbors an interesting avifauna where specialties; such as:Tody Motmot, Blue-throated Toucanet,Chestnut-capped Brush-Finch, White-tipped Sicklebill and Barred Hawk can be found.

Our adventure continues across the Coclé Grasslands scanning for raptors, seedeaters and other open country specialties, followed by a full day visit to El Cope National Park, its foothills located at the Continental
Divide provide access to both slopes (Pacific & Caribbean) giving us chance to spot some specialties and rarities;like: Yellow-olive Woodpecker, Green Thorntail, Russet Antshrike, Bare-necked Umbrellabird, Snowcap, Immaculate Antbird and Thrushlike Schiffornis.

The last stage will be at Azuero Peninsula where We' ll visit some wetlands, like: Las Macanas Marsh, El Cenegón del Mangle and El Agallito Beach searching for aquatic species
